Background

I am William Stepanski and I am 20 years old. I was born in Orange County, California. For those of you who don’t where that is, it is quite close to Disneyland and Angels Stadium. I grew up in a hot climate and never really knew what winter was until my brother went off to college himself. This is partly what influenced me to leave California for college. I wanted to have a winter.

College Experience

I am currently a sophomore at Carleton College. I am studying remotely right now from my house in California. I am a prospective Chemistry major and I am almost certain that I will declare it since I have already taken a lot of Chemistry courses at Carleton and have enjoyed it a lot so far. I am also playing on the tennis team at Carleton. We didn’t get to finish our season last year because of the pandemic, but I am hopeful that in the next two years we will have the opportunity to have a season. After college I am thinking about going to medical school or something closely related. I am still not certain what I plan to do, but another thing I am also considering is dental school. My grandfather actually was a dentist so he is pushing me a lot to go into that field, but only time will tell where I end up.
